VPS4 Fixed Term - Full Time until 14th February 2028 About the Role The Communication and Engagement Advisor (Events) is responsible for planning and delivering ministerial events and communications activities across a significant school and early childhood infrastructure program.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating ministerial event briefings from beginning to end, including sourcing of all information, and engaging with multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events.Producing high-quality event documentation, including event briefings, logistical information, and run sheets, in line with agreed event processes and templates.Drafting speeches and speaking points.Leading events at schools and early childhood facilities to ensure seamless implementation, including event photography.Providing advice to VSBA executives, ministers' offices, and internal teams on event opportunities, risks, and issues management.Initiating and maintaining effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate information for briefs.Providing other communications and advice as needed, including supporting or assisting with other VSBA stakeholder events and work across the communications branch.Attributes The ideal candidate will be stakeholder- and team-focused, with an eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

About the Victorian School Building Authority The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education.
Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s.
The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs, and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand.
We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.
With Victoria recently introducing two years of funded kindergarten, the VSBA is also working with the early childhood sector on a massive kindergarten construction program.
About the Division The Corporate Division provides corporate support to all VSBA teams and fulfills an important assurance and oversight role.
It guides the VSBA to achieve strategic objectives and ensure decision-making is transparent and accountable.
The division also coordinates communication and consultation with local communities about their school building projects.
It develops graphic design and video content, manages our social media channels, leads organisational customer service reform, distributes our e-newsletters, and organises ministerial and other events for our projects.
