Your business The CIO for Technology team ensures that CommBank has a world-class engineering capability and is at the forefront of technology, using innovative and emerging technology to help our customer and support our Group Strategy. Do work that matters The CIO for Technology team is seeking an experienced senior manager to join our new AI Powered Engineering function dedicated to working with Commonwealth Bank's global engineering community to use AI assisted tools and capabilities in ways that improve the engineering experience and productivity.
Role responsibilities: Support rapid experimentation with emerging AI assisted engineering tools Work closely with the central AI Acceleration Office to provide continuous, transparent reporting on progress of AI Powered Engineering function Assist in coordination and communication of testing of AI assisted engineering tools, capabilities and features across Technology teams in real-world settings Support HR and the Engineering Practice to embed learning pathways that uplift engineering capability to make effective use of AI assisted engineering tools Provide delivery coordination and support to teams across Technology to real-world test new AI assisted engineering tools, capabilities and features Work with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, engineers, product managers to identify new opportunities and use cases for AI assisted tools in the Group Stay informed about advancements in AI technologies and their practical applications in solving engineering challenges Contribute to high quality reporting for leadership teams, ensuring clear communication of program outcomes and challenges Collaborate with the Technology Ecosystem function to promote (through internal and external blogs, media articles etc.) the work being done in the Group to unleash AI technology for the engineering community Demonstrate effective planning, work prioritisation and risk management We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with a hybrid approach of at least half your time each month connecting in office. What you bring: Proven experience contributing to organisation wide initiatives preferably in technology and/or engineering Passion for emerging technologies and a desire to learn continuously Experience managing complex programs of work with multiple stakeholders Excellent influence and collaboration skills Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to present highly technical updates to diverse audiences Experience with Agile methodologies and tooling (eg.
