Do work that matters Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Management also ensures the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on those credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.
See yourself in our team The Financial Risk and Model Implementation (FRMI) Crew delivers the Group-wide systems, business applications and organisational change that underpins the Group's financial risk management. FRMI also leads implementation of the Bank's risk models on the Group's strategic model platform. Overall FRMI is accountable for circa $50m annual investment in change initiatives.
FRMI reports into the Risk Management support unit, supporting the Chief Credit Officer (CCO) with managing the investment and delivering the strategic priorities in the most effective way to enable the Bank's customer advocacy goal of NPS +30.

As a Data Steward within FRMI: You will support Risk Management's data governance capabilities to enable compliance with the Group's data management policies and standards.
You will be a key contributor to the design of data quality reporting, data governance processes and delivery against the Group's strategic data agenda.
You will become the expert on counterparty credit risk (CCR)-related architecture, processes, data sources and definitions to drive overall business value.
You will lead the implementation of the Data Management and Governance framework on CCR critical processes.
On a day-to-day basis you will: Maintain oversight of CCR data (including limits and exposures) quality and change within our Risk Management function.
Leverage your extensive knowledge of delivering data management, governance and data quality to ensure we deliver the right business outcomes.
Deliver the strategic data management and governance roadmap for CCR critical data elements (CDE) in line with the Group's data management framework.
Enable FRMI to execute against the Data Management Implementation (DMI) framework including embedding of data quality rules and controls into critical business processes.
Support the design, development and delivery of initiatives that enable DMI compliance.
Maintain a detailed understanding (and documentation) of E2E lineage, business definitions, business rules and transformations relevant to business processes.
Ensure upstream data producers are aware of the impact of their data quality on Risk Management's processes and tools/models.
Ensure effective data ownership and DQ accountability across data owners, producers and consumers.

Extensive experience with Data Governance projects in Banking and/or Technology.
Strong Project Management or delivery experience.
Strong commercial and technical acumen underpinned by pragmatism and a passion for problem solving.
Ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders across Line 1 and Line 2.
Ability to operate in a relatively ambiguous environment and create clarity and focus.
Experience with Data Management methodologies and/or tools.
Experience with risk and controls across the Data Lifecycle.
Intermediate Analytics skills and use of tools (e.g. Teradata, Tableau etc).
Knowledgeable of Metadata, Data Quality and Data Lineage concepts/frameworks.
