About The Team The University Secretary's Office is at the core of university governance from both an internal and external perspective.
Our mission is to enable all staff to work towards the University's objectives efficiently, effectively, ethically and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The purpose of the University Secretary's Office is to develop, implement, support and provide advice on a governance structure which is legally sound and adequately documented for everything we do.
The Committee Officer works to ensure best practice support for governance and management committees and working groups.
Your New Role!
In this role you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of allocated committees and ad hoc working parties.
You will provide high-level advice to the Chair, develop strategic workplans to ensure agenda alignment and oversee the timely preparation and distribution of agendas, minutes and action items through the committee system.
Your expertise in research and document development will help guide committee deliberations and you will play a critical role in preparing insightful reports.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $87K – $105K plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
For the right candidate, we are open to considering a part-time arrangement (0.8 FTE).

Your most recent resume (CV) Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent substantial high level administrative and secretariat experience.
High level working knowledge of agenda preparation, meeting procedures and minute taking.
Computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-quality documents, reports and correspondence from a variety of IT software applications.
Organisational, time and workload management skills, including the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively.
Understanding of and commitment to the confidentiality of information.
