Operating for 75 years, our expertise spans the building, construction, and infrastructure sectors.With a global footprint covering Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India, Middle East, North America, Africa, the UK and Europe, our clients can tap into the collective thinking of over 2,000 of the best people in the industry, operating from over 70 offices.Job DescriptionDue to our continued growth, we're seeking the expertise of a Commissioning Manager to join the Sydney office working alongside the buildings teams to deliver projects across a broad range of sectors.The core role will involve the management of commissioning across a range of buildings, including the preparation and presentation of reports, reviewing designs through witnessing on site and the management and execution of Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) projects.Our team is focused on delivering a fully managed service to our clients throughout the whole life of the contract, providing:Understanding complex design and contributing to the commissioning enhancement.The management and execution of ICA projects.Carrying out the duties of an Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) as per the rules and guidelines established under benchmarking schemes such as Greenstar, LEED, CIBSE, and other organisations such as ASHRAE, AIRAH + BSRIA.Participating effectively in value management/value engineering processes without compromising the design.Working with the design team during the design stages of the project.Working with the main and sub-contractors during the construction phase.Advising on commissioning methods and carrying out witnessing on site.Producing reports as the extent of the commissioning.Undertaking building fine tuning, with particular emphasis on optimising the operation of building management and controls systems.Overseeing recommissioning works where applicable.QualificationsA thorough understanding of commissioning codes and procedures.Experienced across all building services, operations and maintenance.Experience managing a broad range of build projects.Be conversant with Microsoft programs with detailed knowledge of Excel.This role will suit someone with drive and initiative, a good technical grounding, excellent reporting skills, good presentation skills, and brilliant people skills, including helping stakeholders to deliver better outcomes.Additional InformationAt WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including:Paid professional memberships.Wellbeing days - time to focus on your wellbeing and the community.WT's balanced way of working.When you're working from the office, you'll be in an award-winning office fit-out which supports flexible and activity-based working in a prime location with amazing views.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, working on innovative projects alongside a committed team of commissioning experts.
