DESCRIPTION

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
We support all AWS data centers' critical infrastructures, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

As a sub-regional Commissioning Manager, you will manage a fast-moving team of commissioning professionals delivering data center capacity to support Amazon's growth in ANZ.
You will manage a multi-city team of highly skilled individuals in building, retrofitting, and improving AWS owned critical infrastructures globally.

Key job responsibilities
The responsibilities of the ANZ Commissioning Manager include ensuring the quality and reliability of electrical and mechanical systems.
You will think strategically in setting visions and prioritizing the commissioning program aligned with organizational goals.
You will lead a team of commissioning engineers with responsibilities to hire, build a high-performing team, and lead the safety culture by example.
You will communicate and provide guidance to Finance during capital budgeting, making data-driven decisions to deliver predictable cost estimations.
You will create standards and build consensus with stakeholders on cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will have an APJC and global presence, which will include 15% traveling to sites across APJC and globally.
You will own a systemized commissioning approach and ensure compliance with commissioning procedures, quality, environmental, and safety practices.
You will report to the APJC Commissioning Sr.
Manager and develop metrics to ensure compliance with business requirements and safety.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in Commissioning; Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Design; Construction Project Management; Control System installation or maintenance; HVAC testing and balancing; Facilities operations and/or maintenance.
- 3+ years' experience in people management: hiring; organizational planning; building a team; performance management; mentoring; coaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years' experience with goal setting and metrics development, business case analysis to justify project scope and financial position for management review.
- 5+ years' experience in delivering mission critical/complex infrastructures in either mechanical/electrical/controls systems.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or control systems.
