We currently have an opportunity for a Commissioning Lead to join our Completions and Commissioning team. Our new Commissioning Lead will be responsible for managing the commissioning and delivery of mission critical equipment, safe working practices, issue resolution, and facility handover. The primary objective of the Commissioning Lead is to lead our Commissioning team to ensure successful commissioning of our data centre sites on time, on budget and to client satisfaction.
What you'll do: Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to align project commissioning and delivery with project objectivesLead Commissioning team to execute commissioning activities (Level 1 to Level 6)Develop and continually improve/review project-specific commissioning management/validation documents and proceduresLead project commissioning meetingsDevelop the Commissioning Program and manage the team to deliver within these timeframesProvide technical commentary and advice on drawings, manuals, and technical submittalsProvide technical and consultative advice to clients in determining commissioning and validation requirements, strategies, methodologies, and the streamlining of commissioning activitiesDocument and report on scope changesProvide technical and operational support to both field teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle, promoting proper service levels and customer satisfaction.Lead in line with Kapitol's Vision and Values and be a key part of our continual growth and success.About you: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or equivalent trade backgroundExperience in leading and coaching a teamPrior experience on large, complex building projects within services engineering, consulting, or coordinationStrong knowledge of Data Centre commissioning and infrastructure, including electrical, control systems, and facilities operationsAbility to solve complex problems and manage through to resolutionSound construction knowledge and understanding of building/construction tradesProven experience coordinating subcontractors/consulting engineersWell versed with quality and safety requirements on construction projectsWell-developed planning, program, and stakeholder management skillsStrong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, upskill and build rapport with team membersHow you'll benefit: 5-day work week (exception of Site Managers/Supervisors who work 10 days in 14, with every other Saturday off)Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industryFree health assessments for all staffPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary care giversFast-tracked career development opportunities and support through mentoring, workshops and retreatsIndustry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learnt and other resources.Kapitol values diversity and aims to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces and respects differences.
