Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering) Contract/Temp Bring your perspective to one of Australia's largest energy projects!
Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy, enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, saving NSW customers $180 million a year and creating 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
This role is one of several required and will be supporting the commissioning activities of our largest substation at Buronga, near Mildura VIC. This substation is one of 3 that will play a key role in Australia's sustainability ambitions, allowing future renewable projects to confidently connect to the grid. You are from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Adelaide, who enjoy FIFO on a 14:7 roster.

Your focus will include:
Responsibility for the development and management of the test and commissioning team including subcontractor management to ensure the appropriate level of resources are being applied to meet all project requirements.Supporting test and commissioning standards and procedures and the quality of works to meet the requirements of the project and expectations of the client.Ability to follow test procedures and electrical/mechanical drawings.Proven fault-finding skills and ability to repair defects in a timely manner to meet deadlines.Compose and compile commissioning methodology, management plans, ITPs, test reports, commissioning plans, and relevant documentation as required.What you will bring to the team:Professional Electrical Engineer specialised in Power System – Transmission and Distribution Systems or appropriate equivalent qualification.Expertise in HV substations primary plant and equipment and secondary systems.Strong written skill and the ability to produce correspondence and technical reporting as required.Preferably a minimum of 2 years' experience in project engineering, construction, and commissioning.Knowledge of OH&S and statutory requirements.We're building a diverse workforce.
