We are a fast-growing consulting company of Australia working with clients of Australia and overseas to deliver the best guidelines and consultation across the globe.The Opportunity & Position:We have an immediate requirement for the position of Commissioning Engineer / Sr Commissioning Engineer to join our Engineering Services team on a permanent basis, and this role can be developed into a long-term opportunity, with more projects in the pipeline.This role is fieldwork based in Queensland/ NSW – Wind/ Solar Farm.Skills & Experience:The candidate must have a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and/or Advanced Diploma – Power Systems. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate relevant experience as mentioned below is mandatory.Onsite commissioning coordination on siteOversee and arrange the commissioning activitiesCoordination with Powerlink/ Transgrid, SCADA supplier, PPC supplier & Inverter supplierCoordination with the site construction team and management commissioning zonesLead / Manage the troubleshooting for all issues during commissioningCommissioning progress reporting on a daily basis to the site managerAssisting and working with R2 consultants to perform HP tests onsiteResponsible for producing a detailed commissioning programDevelop & revise the commissioning program in consultation with the Project ManagerMonitoring progress and analysing test resultsEndorsement and assignment of Commissioning Personnel and techniciansMeeting with clients and subcontractors and involved in technical discussionsProject Specific Responsibilities:Always comply with Site Inductions, training, and hazard/risk assessmentsReviewing and certifying documentation completed by others at the end of each day prior to closing work permitsCompletion and integrity of the punch-list and protection registerEnsuring commissioning documents are completed progressively in accordance with Contract requirementsEnsuring a review is conducted prior to each major phase of commissioning to avoid safety or environmental incidentsEnsuring a task-specific SWMS's and JSEA has been developed and approved prior to commencing workNotification to external Stakeholders in regard to any change in the programWhat you'll need to succeed:Minimum 2 years with demonstrated experience in R2 testing and understanding the onsite grid connection testing and commissioning activities for solar farms and/or wind farmsKnowledge in power systems protection principles and applicationsAbility to manage risk throughout the project lifecycle through development and implementationAbility to engage effectively with stakeholders both externally and internallyA passion for learning and personal growthAbility to cope and work with disruption and adapt to changing prioritiesExcellent general problem-solving skills and time management
