Commissioning Coordinator - Safe and Health Families PHN Hunter New England and Central Coast – Tamworth NSW
Location: Location Flexible – Armidale, Erina, Newcastle or Tamworth
Annual full-time equivalent salary: $85,915 - $101,583 + super + salary packaging

About the role: The Safe and Healthy Commissioning Coordinator will lead efforts to reduce barriers to primary health care for people experiencing Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) across the Hunter New England and Central Coast regions.
This position focuses on improving equity of access to primary care by commissioning services that address the unique health and social challenges faced by people experiencing DFSV, including Child Sexual Abuse.
Through effective collaboration with health, social, and community service providers, the coordinator will work to ensure that individuals experiencing DFSV can access integrated, culturally appropriate, and person-centered health and social care.
The role of the Commissioning Coordinator – Safe and Healthy DFSV Services position includes, but is not limited to, coordinating and overseeing the commissioning, procurement and ongoing contract management of these services to improve the health outcomes of people who experience DFSV.
The Commissioning Coordinator will lead the Supporting Recovery pilot program and provide the contract management for the DFV Local Link and DFV Primary Care Outreach Team pilots.
The successful candidate will have: Tertiary qualifications in health, social welfare, or business field. 12 months experience in a similar role or experience in a leadership role within the social welfare/DFSV sector. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, consensus-building, data analysis and consultation skills. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to achieve organisational/contract goals and performance. Hold good attention to detail. Ability to work independently, and in a collaborative team. Additional Information: *PHN's have been funded by the Department of Health since 2015. All roles at our PHN are maximum-term and linked to our funding contracts with the Department of Health. This is a maximum term contract until 30 June 2026 and any contract extensions are dependent on ongoing funding.
**Salary: This role is classified as Grade I - M within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and/or relevant experience. New appointments are generally made between Grade I – K.
