Commis Chef

Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external guests.Perform duties in an efficient manner, whilst maintaining quality and standards.Show a sense of urgency in the delivery of service.Liaise with the supervisor or manager on ways to minimize waste at all times.Ensure that hotel standards are met and exceeded in every meal served.Be proactive in the pursuit of culinary innovation.Follow standard recipes and plate presentations to maintain quality standards of production and presentation.Perform duties in various workstations/kitchens - for example: grilling, frying, roasting, and cold preparation in areas as directed.Responsible for daily specials for relevant sections as requested.Able to run the day-to-day operation of the section in the kitchen.Skills and Experience: An ability to thrive under pressure and work in a high-paced environment.Good communication skills with a true passion for customer service.Must be available to work on a rotating roster, especially on weekends and public holidays.Must have full working rights in Australia and currently live in Australia.Benefits of Working with Hyatt: Complimentary accommodation at selected Hyatt properties worldwide.Opportunity for career progression.Colleague rewards and recognition program.Accommodation discounts worldwide for associates and friends and family.
