Commis Chef

Job Responsibilities:Food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, functions, and buffet service.Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment while ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.Prepare and ensure availability of mise en place as required.Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage; responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures.Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
Report any problems to the Executive Chef.Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.Check all food is stored and handled correctly as per current food health and hygiene regulations.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
