Details of the offer

Will you actively create a healthier future for tomorrow?
At Medibank we're encouraged to think big. We have a clear purpose to impact better health outcomes for our customers, patients and our community.
We celebrate diversity of thought because we want to make better decisions for our customers. As we work towards our goal of better health for better lives, we value the knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.
Who are we?
We are the newly formed Ventures group at Medibank. We build, buy, and invest in amazing health products and services to grow Medibank's impact to 10 million Australians by 2030. Our teams are obsessed with improving the health of Australia, by reimagining what healthcare is and how it's delivered.
We get all the benefits of working with the core Medibank business, stability, scale, and strength but with the spirit and speed of a start-up.
Entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, developers, venture architects, product gurus, health professionals and investors. Individually we are a mix of backgrounds and know-hows; but we are fiercely united by our passion for health and together – we are head, heart, and a whole lot of guts.
The Opportunity
As a Commercial Partnerships Lead joining Ventures, you are accountable for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships with health and wellbeing providers to drive growth.
In this senior role, you will help set up experiments with potential partners to test the customer demand for the service and the viability of a long-term partnership.
This role plays a critical part in our strategy to connect the healthcare system by developing and managing health services that a Venture customer can connect with post a consultation with our GPs.
This role requires staying ahead of global virtual health trends to ensure Ventures remains a leader in the industry. You'll need to build strong relationships in the healthcare sector to establish Ventures as a trusted partner delivering high-quality virtual care.
Your impact:
Have deep knowledge of the global trends in Virtual Health.
Support the strategic direction, vision, and priorities for partner engagement and operations.
Support the short-medium and long-term plan, grounded in a core understanding of the customer and their needs state.
Gather and prioritise requirements based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
Set-up and run experiments with potential partners to measure the viability of a partnership.
Manage the commercial negotiations to deliver excellent value for customers.
Standardise the approach to supplier engagement including onboarding, contract management, reporting, clinical governance, and commercial arrangements.
Develop and keep trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and provide support as a thought leader.
Support and contribute towards broader strategic direction to enable a consistent and aligned vision, ensuring decisions are congruent with the Hub direction and consider all enterprise impacts.
What are we looking for?
You are an experienced Commercial Partnerships Lead with experience in building and managing a supplier network to deliver ground-breaking health and/or digital products in a commercial setting.
You have extensive experience delivering pioneering health and/or digital products in a commercial setting.
You are seasoned in managing complex commercial supplier partnerships, demonstrated by achievements in contracts, payments, reporting, and large-scale operations.
You have demonstrated success supporting large, cross-functional teams scaling supplier networks in B2B & B2C settings.
How We Work
At the core of our Ventures team is an unwavering commitment to solving real customer problems. We prioritise iterative approaches, continually fine-tuning our solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. For us, iteration trumps perfection.
We believe that the best results come from a cycle of trial, feedback, and refinement, allowing us to be agile, responsive, and ultimately, more successful in delivering value to our customers.
We are looking for extraordinary humans which can come in many different forms. So, if you don't meet all the criteria above but still believe you would shine in Ventures, we would love to connect.
What we promise
Our environment is hyperflexible with hybrid working arrangements a well-established norm.
Above and beyond the generous benefits on offer, you will:
Have the leeway to combine your creativity and technical skills.
Be autonomous to get work done in a way you and your team choose.
Be able to bring to the table all your skillsets, experiences, and humanity.
Learn and grow in a safe and supportive space.
Work at the cutting edge of Medibank's approach to delivering the best healthcare for all Australians.
A career with us
At Medibank, we believe work is something we do, not somewhere we go. Our modes of working – Collaboration, Connection and Concentration – help inform how your day is structured and where you choose to work will vary, depending on your role and requirements.
The wellbeing of our employees is our priority. We encourage you to talk to us about any additional support you may require during the recruitment process, as well as how this role can be flexible for you.
We encourage applications from candidates with a disability; if you require any adjustments or alternate formats of key information at any stage of the recruitment process, we welcome hearing from you via ****** or (03) 8622 5666.
We offer a range of great benefits such as subsidised private health insurance, rewards and discounts, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
