Commercial Painting Project Manager

About Us We are a growing commercial painting company in high demand by builders. Currently have a team of 25 employees and contractors. Our work involves the painting of schools, supermarkets, restaurants, office buildings, residential insurance jobs, and more.
Requirements Applicants must have the following: Minimum 3 years commercial painting experience Minimum 2 year commercial painting project management experience Experience in managing a team of 20+ across multiple sites White Card Working with Children Check Elevated Work Platform and Working at Heights licence Ability to communicate fluently in English, Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi and Telugu Australian driver's license and own car (sufficiently large to carry ladders, spray guns etc) Previous experience using CrewTraka and Trak job management software High proficiency in analysing and forecasting budgets and profit and loss statements Willing to travel to regional jobs Willing to undertake occasional weekend and night works (overtime rates apply) Tasks & Responsibilities Management of commercial painting projects located in Melbourne and west thereof. Also regular regional jobs. Interpreting architectural plans and specifications relevant to painting works Coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment Liaising with builders and subcontractors involved in projects to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety Overseeing the standard and performance of all staff Preparing Safety Work Method Statements Identify and obtain sign off for variations to scope of works Provide training to staff, as required Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushers, rollers and sprays Cleaning equipment and work areas
