Commercial Operations Manager, Energy Retail OperationsThe Tesla Energy Business Operations team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Operations Manager to lead the operations of our virtual power plant (VPP) and related energy programs across Australia.
You will oversee the commercial operations relating to Tesla's VPPs, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Legal.
As a key leader, you'll develop and execute strategies to improve business processes and drive operational success. Managing a motivated and growing team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Tesla's retail and energy services in Australia.
What You'll DoLead the commercial operations of Tesla's VPPs, driving their growth and success.Manage relationships with third party service providers across the retail electricity sector to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and VPP growth strategies.Oversee business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) retailer operations, focusing on customer account management, data management, and service order execution.Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and partnerships.Partner with internal teams to build new processes that enhance operational efficiency across Tesla's energy business.Continuously assess and improve standard operating procedures using a first-principles approach.Report on operational performance and market conditions to ensure alignment with both local and global business goals.What You'll Bring5+ years of experience in the Australian energy market.Proven experience working with or within energy retailers (highly desirable).Strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional relationships.Attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency to achieve business objectives.Ability to align business goals with broader market and operational trends.Compensation and BenefitsIn addition to a competitive compensation package, Tesla Australia & New Zealand is pleased to offer the following benefits for permanent employees:
