About the role
We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team in Canberra, ACT. Candidates with defence projects experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
Fulfilling the requirements of the commercial function including optimising margin while protecting the business.
Lead all Pre-Contract commercial activities on a complex project or range of projects.
Work closely with project and commercial leaders to provide strategic commercial direction in the management of project goals.
Assist with implementing and managing the procurement plan to support project schedules, whilst selecting and preparing the standard forms of supply chain agreements.
Manage contractual disputes and risk mitigation.
Ensure accurate and timely, weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting of project costs.
About you
Tertiary qualification in Commercial Law, Quantity Surverying or Engineering.
Experience working on major in construction projects including projects in the defence sector.
Results driven and possess a collaborative leadership approach with an ability to demonstrate a high level of technical and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills with an ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
