About this opportunity
As the Commercial Manager, you will be required to provide technical leadership, contribute to the management of all project assignments within the team, and maintain and manage all business standards and documentation. You will also act on behalf of Infrastructure Canberra to provide expert advice and direction on technical issues and policies, and their implications in project delivery.

The below capabilities form the criteria that are vital for you to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated experience in contract administration across multiple contract types on large and complex infrastructure projects in a public sector environment.Demonstrated experience in administering government procurement processes through to award of contracts within the construction industry.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to establish priorities, achieve deadlines, adapt to changing requirements, exercise initiative and sound judgement.Proven experience to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Understanding and commitment to the RED Framework, WHS best practice and industrial democracy principles and practice.Your Benefits

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Mandatory: Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management; orHold a relevant building degree; orHave significant building or infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.Experience in delivery of commercial or educational building projects with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable.Note: This is a temporary position available 20 January 2025 until the end of November 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
