Your new role
As a Commercial Litigation Lawyer, you will:Handle a variety of disputes, including breaches of contract, partnership or joint venture disputes, corporate governance and shareholder disagreements, misleading and deceptive conduct, breaches of IP and trade practices, building disputes, planning and environment matters, leasing, tenancy, and franchise disputes, and bankruptcy, insolvency, and debt recovery matters. Represent clients in court, preparing and presenting cases with the support of our experienced team or specialist barristers. Facilitate Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods such as negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes efficiently. Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other necessary court documents. Provide legal advice and consultation to clients regarding their business dealings and potential disputes. Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve cost-effective and expedient results. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:A minimum of 3 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in commercial litigation. Strong skills in client representation, negotiation, and dispute resolution. Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively under pressure. Proficiency in using litigation technologies to manage electronic records and data.
