The Role & The Firm

Our client is a full service commercial law firm that is in growth mode.
Due to a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking to recruit an SA Litigation Lawyer of at least 7 years pae.
We are open to the type of experience you may have, as the client is flexible in regards to where you may fit in.

This firm acts for a range of clients, including Insolvency Practitioners, ASX listed companies, SMEs and small businesses, as well as builders & subcontractors.

This role will see you working closely with Partners and SA's, Associates and Lawyers, on a broad range of disputes and also appearing in court.

Depending on your experience, a flavor of the work may include:
Debt dispute resolution, Corporations Act, shareholders disputes, building and construction, insolvency and general and contractual disputesBriefing counselCourt AppearancesDrafting Court Documents including pleadings, affidavits and applicationsRunning files from beginning to end in all court jurisdictions including Magistrates' Court, County Court, Supreme Court and Federal CourtThis is a 'hands on' role and you will be given genuine responsibility to attend court, brief counsel, attend client meetings, have carriage of your own meetings.
You will also have the benefit of support by senior lawyers and partners.

The matters will be interesting and broad ranging.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:
At least 7 years pae experience in the area of litigationAttention to detailCommunication and interpersonal skillsDrafting and advising skillsStrong litigation and strategy skillsAbility to work in a committed teamAbility to work independentlyAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDrive, enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitudeCulture & Benefits
