Newcastle, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSWSWS Lawyers is looking for an ambitious and motivated litigation lawyer with 2 – 4 years' post admission experience to join our growing litigation team. You will work on a variety of dispute and litigation work servicing our excellent client base, including large corporate clients, government clients, public entities and up and coming startups.SWS Litigation TeamThe Litigation team at SWS is lead by Susan Moran who has more than 25 years' experience and has represented corporate and large commercial clients in a variety of disputes over many years. Our litigation lawyers receive excellent training, coaching and mentoring from Susan as well as our other principals who are genuine specialist corporate and commercial lawyers.This varied and exciting role will see you work on contract disputes, competition and consumer law issues, intellectual property disputes, directors' duties and shareholder claims. Our ongoing work includes various matters in the Supreme Court in relation to product liability disputes and shareholder disputes, building and construction matters, proceedings seeking injunctive relief in relation to nuisance claims. We also regularly advise in relation to protection of intellectual property for a number of key brands in the consumer market space and where necessary seek urgent injunctive relief in the Federal Court.Our lawyers also have the opportunity to develop their advocacy skills appearing in lower courts on a regular basis.About YouWe are seeking a candidate with a proactive working style to join our friendly and supportive team environment.
