The Opportunity
Our client is a growing, profitable & complex ASX100 with a Head Office in Sydney that is playing an instrumental role in shaping the future of Australia. The purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice, coaching and commercial support on the execution of finance processes by partnering with the Executive and General Managers of the group. This will influence the financial development, culture and performance of the organisation.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Planning, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with stakeholders to offer expert financial guidance, ensuring alignment with overarching strategic objectives.
Provide commercially insightful analysis to support and influence strategic decision-making, planning, and management.
Employ advanced analytical tools to rigorously challenge and support business leaders.
Leverage financial acumen and commercial insights to contribute to the formulation and refinement of corporate and commercial strategies.
Drive the identification and evaluation of growth opportunities within your designated areas by articulating key business drivers.
Lead and manage key financial processes throughout the fiscal year, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Partner with business units to ensure achievement of budgetary and forecasting objectives.
Convey operational challenges and insights from the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to the Finance department effectively.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Utilise the Finance function to address and resolve complex business challenges effectively.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
You have 10+ years' experience and began your career in a Big 4 Audit / Transactions / Deals team, since your career has progressed in industry within large, complex business environments.
Ideally, you have worked in a capital intensive business.
You are able to confidently communicate with GMs and Executives and offer commercial opinions based on your understanding.
You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced organisation within a change transformation environment, being a positive force in the growth journey of the business.
You have proven experience in developing and implementing process improvement and system optimisation strategies to deliver organisational compliance and efficiency.
