About the Role
We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel with 4-6 years experience.
This is a role that offers variety and a true business partnering opportunity across all our business units in Australia and NZ, key Fujitsu stakeholders, and our Fujitsu Clients. You will be involved with building strong internal and external client relationships.
Reporting into our Head of Legal, NZ, you will have the opportunity to grow and become a respected member of the wider Fujitsu Oceania Legal Team. There is the flexibility of the role being based in either Sydney Brisbane Melbourne or Canberra with flexibility to work your own way!
Furthermore, this role will see you be responsible for:

Commercial structures and negotiating new business. You will be providing advice on customer terms and conditions, providing guidance and direction to Fujitsu stakeholders to ensure the best commercial outcome.


Drafting and reviewing contractual terms and contracts.


Assisting in the resolution of commercial and employment related disputes/claims.


Providing responsive and balanced legal advice, identifying and advising on potential and actual legal risks and exposures and recommend appropriate action to minimise risk.

About you To succeed in this role you will have:

A degree in law, with at least 4-6 years post qualification experience.


Experience of working with Information Technology contracts including deal structures, contract review of terms and conditions and schedules and negotiation of IT contracts is preferable.


Ability to influence and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills


Team player with personal credibility


Self-starter, capable of working independently but willing to ask questions and for guidance when required


To be successful you must hold a current practising certificate for a relevant jurisdiction or be able to obtain one.

This role is a unique mix of corporate transactional and general contract law work, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to develop your skills as an in-house lawyer and position yourself for future career success either in Australia or internationally.
