Commercial Joinery Estimator - North Melbourne Hays Recruitment are currently working with a leading commercial joinery specialist renowned for their expertise in office fit-outs and bespoke joinery solutions. Based in Melbourne, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional quality and innovative designs for a diverse range of commercial projects.
Due to a strong pipeline of future work, they are looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a solid joinery background and extensive knowledge of commercial joinery processes, particularly in office fit-outs. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate cost estimates to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
In this role, you will be required to: Develop precise cost estimates for office fit-out projects by analysing project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements. Prepare comprehensive budgets, including labour, materials, and overhead costs, and ensure all estimates are aligned with project scope and specifications. Engage with clients, suppliers, and project managers to confirm project details, resolve issues, and provide technical advice as needed. Prepare and review tender documentation and submit bids in accordance with project timelines and requirements. Monitor project costs and manage changes to ensure projects are delivered within budget. Requirements: Proven experience in a joinery role with a strong understanding of office fit-out projects and commercial joinery applications - Ideally a trade background in cabinet making/joinery/shopfitting. Demonstrated experience in estimating for joinery or construction projects, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed estimates. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members. Must be based in Melbourne, VIC.
