The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Housekeeper Supervisor to join our growing team. As a key member of the Beyond Broome team, you will play a critical role in delivering top-tier hospitality services and helping create memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Create and manage staff schedules, assigning daily tasks based on team availability.
Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning methods, safety protocols, and company standards.
Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality control in cleanliness and orderliness.
Manage housekeeping inventory (cleaning supplies, linens, etc.), including placing orders when necessary, and ensuring cost-effective use of supplies.
Manage departmental budgets and optimize resources while maintaining high service standards.
Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications: Relevant qualification in hospitality, cleaning operations, or management recommended but not necessary.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity in a hotel or resort setting.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.
Communication: Strong communication skills, essential for working with staff, guests, and other departments.
Organisational Skills: Excellent ability to manage schedules, inventories, and task assignments.
Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction.
Problem-Solving: Skilled at resolving guest concerns and handling staff-related issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail: High standard for cleanliness and ensuring the quality of guest rooms and public areas.
Flexibility: Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and during peak periods.
Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures is essential.
