Whilst this is a well-established business, it is dynamic and evolving to meet the demands of a growing and diversified customer base.About the role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a strategic role driving a transformational change within the Commercial Controlling area for Transport, whilst leading a high performing commercial finance team to effectively measure the performance of the Transport networks and help drive improved overall operational and financial performance for Transport.This includes management of Transport budgets, forecasts and results as well as providing all relevant financial information required to support the Transport operations and local and regional finance teams to assist in reporting and steering the business.Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Building and leading a high-performing commercial controlling teamDrive Transport performance reviews including building and developing key performance measures to aid in steering resultsAccurately manage Transport results for both local, regional and global reporting requirements including providing meaningful analysis and commentary on key performance measures to explain actual results against budgets and forecastHold the business to account for deviations from budgets and forecast, including working with senior stakeholders on action plans to address deviations and ensuring accountability is maintainedManage and review capex and project spend against expected schedules, ensuring accuracy across all areasProvide support with new business and growth opportunities and with existing business renewals and other investments.
