The Commercial Finance Manager role within Cement partners with key business leaders and operational management from Boral's prized upstream Cement business.
This is a key role focused on improving decision support and providing a commercial focus to drive outstanding financial and commercial results.
Partnering with the Production team for the Cement business, the role challenges the business through insightful analysis and financial modelling of the operation, to highlight opportunities for improving business outcomes and works to builds financial literacy within the business.
The role will extend to creating value through Boral's Continuous and Value Improvement Programs, providing independent financial perspectives to senior leaders, and supporting customer and general commercial arrangements (pricing, credit, risk, dispute resolution, contracts).
Your day will involve:
Lead strategy development and large-scale capital expenditure planning
Ensure the integrity of the financial results and own monthly actuals & variance, quarterly forecast and annual budget process for Cement – Operations (Production).
Build financial capability across the team supporting understanding for all key commercial drivers, productivity, asset efficiency, supply vs. demand, investment and projects.
Deliver data-driven decision-making support and ensure the business is updated and engaged on the achievement and delivery of financial targets and strategies.
Provide sound financial insight to operations to deliver profitable and sustainable growth across their business unit including determining cost effectiveness of growth strategies and ensuring approved capital investments deliver on benefits.
What are we looking for?
Commercially focused and experienced finance professional, who effectively collaborates across all levels of the organization
A resilient and energised leader who proactively seeks solutions and drives change
Strong growth mindset who is driven by building a high performing team across
Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business, Finance or Economics, with CA/CPA qualifications preferred.
Wide and deep experience providing expert advice on financial outcomes pertaining to operations in large and complex industrial or manufacturing businesses.
Demonstrated ability to deliver improvement in performance through provision of financial leadership and insight.
Proven commitment and track record in achieving strong financial, investment and performance results.
Actioned oriented and energetic individual who will relish the opportunity to be based on site and close to our Production team to add value and optimise business performance.
