This is a fantastic opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive financial performance within a leading automotive retail group.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage end-of-month, year-end, and adhoc financial processes.Oversee the half-year, year-end, and audit process with external auditors.Manage monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans.Mergers & Acquisitions:Conduct research, financial modelling, and analysis of acquisition opportunities.Prepare due diligence and financial valuations, supporting transaction assessments.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on transaction aspects.Commercial Support:Provide independent financial and commercial advice.Communicate monthly results to management, highlighting improvement opportunities.Develop financial models and business cases, ensuring effective resource allocation.Lead and develop a team to ensure strategic delivery.Provide visible, values-based leadership and role modelling.Develop team member skills and ensure succession plans are in place.You will ideally have a growth mindset and agility with change and a strong focus on operational excellence and resource management.
