This role is pivotal in leading the financial planning and forecast processes for the Australian business, providing critical commercial insights and reporting to stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively across various functions.How you'll spend your dayBusiness PlanningLong Range Planning: Plan and coordinate the long-range planning process for the Australian business, ensuring alignment with strategy and input from all stakeholders.Annual Operating Plan: Lead the annual operating plan process, ensuring accurate capture and projection of sales, margin, headcount, and operating expenses.Financial ForecastingQuarterly Forecasts: Partner with commercial and function leads to prepare quarterly rolling forecasts and outlooks, projecting the financial outlook for the year.Risk Management: Identify, validate, and document risks and opportunities related to financial objectives.Sales Reporting and Revenue RecognitionSales Reporting: Ensure accurate sales reporting in SAP and BI tools.Rebate/Discount Accounting: Validate and ensure accurate accounting for rebates and discounts.Revenue Recognition: Comply with revenue recognition requirements and coordinate with the supply chain for accurate sales reporting.Monthly Flash Sales Report: Prepare and submit the monthly flash sales report to local leadership, APAC finance, and International Markets teams.Expense Management and Cost ControlExpense Monitoring: Provide function leads and cost centre managers with expense reports to monitor performance against plans and forecasts.Monthly ReportingP&L Review: Review the monthly P&L before final submission to global teams.Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly sales, gross margin, and expense reports, including analysis of key variances to plan and forecast.Business Cases and PricingNew Initiatives: Work with stakeholders to prepare and validate business cases for new launches and initiatives.Pricing Insights: Provide insights into product pricing and profitability.Sarbanes-Oxley and Control EnvironmentCompliance: Ensure accounting records comply with internal corporate policies, local statutory, and taxation requirements.People LeadershipTeam Management: Manage the rebates and pricing administrator, ensuring timely processing and accurate reflection of product pricing and trading terms in SAP.Objectives Alignment: Agree on annual objectives with the Finance Director, ANZ, and ensure team objectives are aligned.Development: Conduct regular meetings with direct reports, focusing on growth and development.Financial SystemsSystem Optimization: Work with local and global colleagues to ensure systems (SAP, Hyperion, Integrated Business Planning) meet local business and financial reporting requirements.Stakeholder Management and EngagementEngagement: Proactively engage with stakeholders across the local and global business, including the Finance Director, ANZ; APAC Business Finance Lead; Finance Director, APAC; Commercial Core Leadership Team; Global Business Solutions; Function Leads; Brand Managers; and Cost Centre Managers.Other ResponsibilitiesRebate Provision Monitoring: Ensure the rebate provision is accurate and meets future liabilities.Cash Flow Forecasts: Prepare cash flow forecasts as part of the quarterly forecasting and annual operating plan cycles.Your experience and qualificationsCA/CPA qualification with a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)Leadership and management skillsStrong interpersonal skillsA proactive and resilient approach, comfortable navigating manual systems and driving changeExperience in a multi-national corporate environment, particularly in pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or a product-related sectorUnderstanding of IFRS and USGAAP accounting principlesStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsEnjoy a more rewarding choiceGenerous leave, health, and wellbeing benefitsCommitment to ongoing personal & professional growth via a blend of learning opportunitiesParking available at our Macquarie Park siteOpportunity to join a leading global organisation with a network of 37,000 employees operating in 60 markets, with 25 R&D sitesMake a difference with Teva PharmaceuticalsPlease submit your CV and a Cover Letter.Please note that our office will be closed for two weeks so we won't be reviewing candidates until the 6th of January, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Reports ToDirector Country Finance Lead ANZAlready Working @TEVA?If you are a current Teva employee, please apply using the internal career site available on "Employee Central".
