About the Role The position of Commercial Analyst FP&A sits in the Specialist Wholesales business segment and supports the Commercial Manager FP&A on delivery of the financials, management and analytical reporting for the segment. Key expectations of the role include month-end closing, stakeholder reporting, coordinating forecasting, annual budgeting, profitability analysis and continuous process improvements as required.
Key responsibilities include: Support Commercial Manager FP&A to provide value-add partnership to key stakeholders and provide actionable insights to drive business performance. Support business on analysis around performance on budget and forecast, product category, customer profitability, expenses, working capital, cash flow and other adhoc analysis as required. Manage asset register and vehicle LeasePlan. Support Commercial Manager FP&A to coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Perform analysis of business unit performance and highlight key areas of risks and opportunities. Manage month-end close process and ensure on-time submission to Corporate Finance group. Manage half-yearly and annual reports to shareholders. About You This role would be a great fit for an experienced commercial analyst with a proven track record of driving business growth through meticulous data analysis and strategic insights. Skilled in financial modelling, market research, and trend analysis, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can leverage data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
Tertiary qualifications: Business degree majoring in accounting or other relevant major with an accounting minor. CA/CPA Qualified / partially completed. Ideally minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar analyst role. Business partnering experience is preferred. Proven experience in process improvement and optimisation. Advanced management accounting and business analytics experience. System-savvy in different software packages (HFM, Power BI, Momentum Pro, Asset Pro and Phocas would be advantageous). Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise deadlines. Detail-oriented with a high level of business acumen. Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
