Overview of the role: A fantastic opportunity exists for a high-calibre commercial finance analyst to join this leading professional services company. This role will primarily be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, data analysis, and projects, but will also need to have general knowledge of financial control, tax, working capital, and audit.
Whilst it is a hands-on role, the ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership and communication skills. Commercially astute and data-driven, the commercial finance analyst will drive financial performance across the business while ensuring internal controls and good governance remain in place. As part of a global function, the commercial finance analyst will need to become a trusted adviser to local partners, as well as work collaboratively with our offshore shared services centre, regional office in Singapore, and group function in London.
Key responsibilities: Budgeting, Forecasting and Monthly ReportingOversee the annual budget and periodic forecast preparation.Provide credible financial analysis to support monthly reporting, quarterly reviews, and strategic planning.Analyse and report performance metrics against budget and forecast, and highlight areas of focus accompanied by recommendations.Data and SystemsQuick to navigate systems to extract, sort, and present data.Uses data-driven insights to drive actions and performance.Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.Can comfortably navigate through SAP, Oracle, Concur, Salesforce, and Thinkcell.Leadership and Commercial SupportBuild trust with partners whilst not compromising on the overall strategic imperatives of the firm.Directly liaise with Group Finance and ensure we maintain strong relationships.Apply a commercial lens to both client engagement and supplier contracts.Design financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for case and client profitability analysis.Change leadership through implementing and driving change activities and providing thought leadership.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders that strengthen the finance brand.Manage the monthly management reporting into group finance.Assist in the strategic planning and implementation of internal control policies and procedures and ensure their regular review for continuous improvement and regulatory requirements.Work closely with APAC and Group finance staff to ensure alignment, consistency, and best practice across the region and globally.Work closely with external auditors and company secretary to maintain ASIC and other business registers.Continuously improve the working capital and cash transaction process.Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' relevant finance-related experience.High attention to detail, responsive, and a team player.Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint essential.Fluency with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Concur, and Thinkcell desirable.Demonstrated leadership potential, particularly within a matrix structure.Curiosity and passion for performance improvement, automation efficiencies, and project management.Sound knowledge of IFRS accounting principles, practices, and procedures desirable.Professional services industry background an advantage.Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or related discipline.CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years' experience post-qualification.Diversity and Inclusion at L.E.K.
