The Commercial Director (CD) is a high-performing client facing senior executive that has a wide array of decision maker relationships in the mid to large corporate environment, where he/she can forward our services, unique service propositions, and formulate ideas to assist us in meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.
As a CD you will be responsible for (these duties and responsibilities are subject to amendment by the Company from time to time):
Business Unit Overall responsibility for the performance of the Business Development business unit, including, but not limited to, management of the team and ensuring the achievement of individual and team performance targets;
Representation as a full member of the Executive Committee of the Board, including presentation of sales, revenue, expense reports and realistic forecasts to the Executive Committee.
Keep abreast of emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
Create sales strategies to develop and strengthen the Company's sales funnel;
Work with the technology, creative services, and product teams to implement tests, prototypes and concepts quickly whilst evaluating the results and making adjustments to ensure the achievement of top-line results.
Individual Achieve Annual Sales Targets by successfully identifying new client opportunities and formulating innovative ways to seize them;
Identify existing customer opportunities from internal and external customer lists and work to grow the size of marketing revenue wallet by upselling and cross selling our diverse range of services to them;
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
Requirements A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, commerce, design or related field is a must. Post graduate qualifications will be seen as a benefit.
A CD is a blend between an analytical and creative person who is a highly proficient communicator with great interpersonal skills.
Successful previous experience as a sales director, marketing director, or an executive consistently meeting or exceeding targets who has also been responsible for managing sales teams.
Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
Strong business sense and industry expertise.
Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
Annual Sales Targets (AST) These AST's are set at the beginning of each Financial Year commencing 1 July and concluding 30 June of each proceeding Financial Year and are subject to amendment from time to time as agreed between the Employee and the Company in writing.
