Commercial Associate Director

The Commercial Associate Director is responsible for supporting the Group Executive with the implementation of the LMG Commercial Strategy. In conjunction with fulfilling the duties of the Commercial State Specialist, the Associate Director will be responsible for a range of industry-facing initiatives including representing LMG at key Commercial events and associations. This includes but is not limited to representing LMG on the MFAA and CAFBA industry associations.
The Commercial AD will also be expected to engage with National stakeholders at key lenders to drive and grow existing programs we have in place.
The Commercial AD will be responsible for representing the Commercial business within LMG and growing the profile and exposure of the Commercial team and our broker offering to the broader LMG Business.
You will be responsible for creating awareness and understanding of our offering for Commercial brokers and work particularly closely with our recruitment and other distribution teams.
This role can be performed from WA, QLD, NSW or VIC. Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation of our LMG commercial strategy, key responsibilities include:
Key stakeholder in Industry Body engagement and promotion such as Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association (CAFBA)Nominated LMG representative for the MFAA Commercial and Asset Finance Forum including attendance at regular meetings throughout the yearWorking directly with the Commercial Lender Partnership Manager to take an increased role in our Commercial Lender Engagement Strategy with National Heads of some of our key lending partnersWork with selected lenders to assist with product enhancements, campaigns, and promotions to drive quality product offerings to our brokers from some of our key lender partnersResponsible for broker enablement in diversifying their businessesDelivery of the education pathway and professional development programs for our people and brokersWorking closely with Partnership Managers across the group to identify brokers who will benefit from coaching and development for Commercial FinanceEngage brokers to identify the best solution for them to grow capabilities around Commercial FinanceSupport the Recruitment of Commercial focused business across the Loan Market GroupArrange and facilitate training in small and large group sessionsPromotion and creating awareness within the network of Group endorsed Referral programs and providing support to these programsTraining and support for our technology solutions across CommercialLender Panel - work closely with our lender partners and maintain an awareness of the solutions offered by our lenders to support brokers with scenarios and queries.Deliver support and communication to broker business owners that focus specifically on commercial and asset finance.Leadership and ManagementFrom time to time represent the Commercial team in meetings with other business units, executives, and LMG stakeholdersDesign the agenda and run Weekly Commercial team meetings from time to timeAn ability to build trusted relationships with sound regulatory and stakeholder management skillsAbility to engage brokers of varying levels of experience and expertise in Commercial FinanceCan communicate at both the strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions which balance the varying stakeholder demandsCan engage with Partnership Managers to help jointly provide solutions to their brokersExperienceSignificant experience in financial services with a depth and breadth of experience across relationship models and third-party distributionLeadership and Coaching with Business AcumenPresentation and facilitationExperience to demonstrate ability to work across the value chainExperience in successfully delivering business and cultural change, balancing the needs of the team and broker businessesTo succeed in this role you will bring with you:Strong knowledge of Commercial FinanceProven ability to work with and influence a diverse range of stakeholdersStrong communication and influencing skillsWell-honed relationship management skills including experience with diversified businessesResilience and ability to deal with uncertaintyPersistence and adaptabilityEnjoys engaging with others and collaboratingLikes to be challenged and to challenge othersDesire to 'make a difference' to others
