Join our team as a Commercial Analyst within the Qantas Group National Utility portfolio. Your role will encompass diverse responsibilities including overseeing the portfolio of Utilities for the Qantas Group including electricity, gas, water and sustainability. You will manage bill payments, prepare and monitor budgets, manage utility contract tenders and execute sustainability transformation projects. You'll provide essential analytical support across Qantas operational services and property planning, facilitating informed decision-making. Your expertise will contribute to identifying, reporting, and mitigating risks within utility services, crafting robust business cases, and analysing utility market dynamics. Collaboration is key as you liaise with external experts, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless utility operations and contractual compliance. With a keen eye on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency, you'll engage with business unit customers to tailor service plans while minimising operational risks.
You'll have – Must have experience in the electricity, gas & renewable industryCompleted tertiary qualificationsExperience in handling and analysing large volumes of dataExcellent spreadsheet skills, with ability to prepare cash flow modelsAbility to develop cost analysis models and business cases related to utilities and sustainability initiatives this would include procurement of LGC's and or other identified initiativesStrong stakeholder management and exceptional communication skillsAbility to drive change programs through historical/legacy business practises to achieve a more efficient outcomeAbility to manage contracted staff, partnerships and relationshipsAbility to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people - external individuals, organisations and agenciesAbility to lead a project using own initiative and working as part of a teamAbility to create and maintain accurate / accessible and organized documentationProficient with the Microsoft Suite of software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and standard business applicationsWhy Qantas?  You'll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
