We are seeking a talented Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This diverse, business-facing permanent position offers the opportunity to engage with not only the Finance division but also the broader ANZ business. As a critical member of the Danone Saputo Dairy Finance team in Melbourne, you will be responsible for key controlling and reporting requirements. You will collaborate primarily with the Sales and Marketing teams to drive growth, ensuring the group delivers strong commercial outcomes. Your role will provide key commercial insights and strategic thinking to support decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Controlling, Forecasting and Reporting: Manage annual budgets and monthly forecasts for Net Sales and A&P, control and report costs, create and manage reporting dashboards, handle trade spend accruals and claims, explain variances, complete month-end journals and influence corrective actions.Financial Business Partnering: Support business case development for new opportunities and products, collaborate with Sales and Marketing to monitor and report KPIs, and recommend improvements in work methods and techniques.Financial Analytics: Conduct analytics and forecast modeling to provide key commercial insights for decision-making on new product developments (NPDs) and ad hoc projects.Compliance and Internal Control: Ensure adherence to all risk and compliance guidelines and internal process regulations.About youYou are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for finance and business partnering. With strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you thrive in cross-functional environments. Your ability to analyse data, provide insightful reports, and support decision-making processes makes you an invaluable asset to any team. You are proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the success of our organisation.
Ideally you will have: Relevant experience in a similar role. Experience in an FMCG/Retail environment is an advantage.Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills.SAP, Power BI experience is beneficial and prior TTM system knowledge/exposure is an advantage.University accounting degree, major in commerce or accounting.CA / CPA / CIMA qualified or working towards one of these qualifications.Ability to prioritise multiple deliverables and stakeholders within tight timelines.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Danone ANZ focuses on dairy and specialized nutrition products for infants and adults and is proud to be awarded the Great Place to Work accreditation winner for ANZ in 2023 – a globally recognised program where we feature as one of Australia's top places to work.
