About the Role: Are you passionate about providing insightful analysis to drive financial, operational, and safety excellence? As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting senior state leaders with targeted analysis on initiatives aimed at achieving optimal targets.
Primary Responsibilities :
Collaborate closely with Branch, Regional, and State Managers on projects including capacity and labor planning, customer profitability analysis, shift roster optimization, and business case development. Support the development of commercial acumen across individual branches to enhance financial performance. Work with Queensland General Manager & Commercial Manager, state Regional and Branch Managers to improve financial and operational performance through tailored modeling and analysis. Clearly articulate issues and roadblocks, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain capacity planning and business cases for depot expansion, strategic partnerships, and growth strategy. Foster team collaboration across the state, maintaining a solid understanding of business operations. Utilize costing models to interpret pricing scenarios and assess various solution options for efficiency and profitability. Assist with annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and prepare insightful results commentary and variances analysis. Qualifications and Skills Required: Strong analytical skills and understanding of network-based transport/logistics business. Excellent communication skills to convey analytical findings simply and concisely. Proficiency in MS Excel, data mining, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Commercial acumen with persuasive communication and influencing skills. Minimum 5+ years' experience in multinational organizations, preferably in transport/logistics or related sectors.
