As a result of our continued success and ongoing commitment to providing quality products to our customers, we are searching for a highly motivated Commercial Accountant to join our TEAM supporting our major clients.As a Commercial Accountant, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated Engineering, Projects, and Senior Management teams leading financial and commercial outcomes for the ACE Business. Your forward-thinking approach will also assist in guiding ACE to future successes as you effectively identify, manage, and control financial-related risks. With a high level of autonomy, you will be responsible for driving the development, improvement, and growth of financial performance for the engineering business unit and overseeing the commercial and financial performance of our major projects. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to meet deadlines, establish strategic goals, analyse complex frameworks, and the ability to assimilate information into detailed reports.Key responsibilities:Analyse business unit results and provide guidance to Senior Management and broader business unit.Analyse product sales profitability to ensure that each Branch maximises product profitability.Overview monthly forecasting/annual budgeting to ensure estimates are challenging but achievable and monitor/report on Business utilisation.Manage the recovery rate determination and implementation including ensuring contractual obligations/opportunities are being met.Tender management – from compilation of tender submissions to the delivery of contractual obligations and therefore manage risk and project finances.Develop systems and procedures to support financial best practice.Identification of performance opportunities and development of improvement strategies.Requirements:3 to 5 years of work experience in a service organisation within mining products, service industries.1 to 3 years' experience working in the heavy conveyor industry.Tertiary level qualifications in a business, commerce or financial-related specialisation, or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, and professional accreditation.CPA/CA qualified or in the process of obtaining.Working knowledge of contract and tender processes, systems, terms and conditions.Highly developed IT skills - advanced in Excel and sound knowledge of Power BI.Adept at delivering professional information to a range of internal and external stakeholders.Passion for building capability and hold a continuous improvement focus.Ability to build collaborative, cross-functional relationships and develop influence.What you will receive in return:Enhance your earning potential with job security in permanent ongoing work.Exposure to major National Projects and opportunity to work with industry leaders across the Organisation.A strong and experienced leadership team that are here to support and mentor your personal career development.Work-life balance – flexible work arrangement available to suit you.We have a strong focus on the development of our People and as such offer a wide range of training and development opportunities such as Emerging Leaders and Supervisor courses.A strong safety culture – with a commitment to 100% safe behaviors.An awesome Branch culture with a brand-new facility, on-site parking, and all amenities!
