We are seeking a dedicated, versatile professional to join our team who excels in both landscape gardening and house cleaning.
The Position:To service its varied client base, DAM Services requires new Team members who are proficient in both outdoor landscaping services (i.e. mowing & whipper-snipping) and house vacate (or bond) cleans. Work hours will vary, but typically 6:45am – 2:45pm (with ½ hr lunch break).
The nature of our clients' requirements are that vacate cleans are programmed in advance, but will not be every day. When there are no vacate cleans scheduled, the successful candidate will join the landscape gardener team for the day. A typical week would include (for example) 3 days outdoor landscaping & 2 days house cleaning… a truly varied work-week!
Responsibilities: Landscape Gardening: Operate and maintain various types of mowers, including ride-on and push mowers, to achieve a well-groomed lawn. Use whipper-snippers (line-trimmers) to trim grass and weeds around edges, obstacles, and hard-to-reach areas. Operate weed spraying equipment (typically back-pack) as well as high pressure water cleaning equipment. Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Ensure that all areas are cleared of debris and left in a neat and tidy condition. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to quality and customer service. Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns or requests as needed. House Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. Clean and sanitise kitchens, walls, windows, and fixtures, etc. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors. Follow a checklist to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard. Report any damage or maintenance issues observed during the cleaning process to management. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Qualifications: Proven experience in landscape gardening and house cleaning. Knowledge of gardening equipment, techniques, and cleaning practices & products. Ability to be flexible in approach to working conditions and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks. Reliable transportation and a valid manual driver's license. Above all the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
