THE ROLE The Housing and Place Manager sits within the North East Melbourne Area (NEMA) and provides leadership and management of the Collingwood Housing Office to deliver quality, holistic, and integrated services to residents.
The role works closely with other service streams across NEMA and the North Division to meet the department's strategic priorities.
The Housing and Place Manager will plan and implement strategies which ensure high-quality tenancy, property, and asset management services are delivered.
They will identify opportunities and create partnerships that benefit residents and help alleviate place-based disadvantage, including maximizing social and economic participation opportunities for public housing residents.
The role requires a person with advanced leadership, people management, and strategic thinking skills who has the capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Oversee local delivery of integrated, multidisciplinary services that provide holistic client outcomes and ensure they meet state-wide departmental and government objectives, budget considerations, and community expectations.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards, and operating practices to enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency, and improved client outcomes.Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders and collaborate on the strategic design and development of departmental objectives that impact state-wide or significant localized service delivery to ensure effective, efficient, and coordinated services are provided for all clients.HOW TO APPLY All VPS employees (and ex-VPS employees with extended access to the Jobs and Skills Exchange website) MUST apply via the Jobs and Skills Exchange portal: https://jse.vic.gov.au/user/login?destination=/new-home-page.
