As the primary point of contact for students within the College, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their success and satisfaction throughout their academic journey.
Responsibilities: Assist students with their unit choices, career counselling and ensuring a smooth study journeyAssist in enrolment processes in liaison with the Admissions and Enrolments TeamDirect students to appropriate support services, or provide pastoral support as neededAssist in timetabling as neededMonitor the academic progress and attendance of studentsCoordinate and run activities and events to enhance the student experience, including but not limited to orientation and social activitiesEnsure smooth integration of different student services tasks leading to better student experience and business outcomesMonitor the College inboxes and other avenues of enquiry and respond to stakeholder queriesAssist students with course choices, and subject selection at College and University as requiredCollect and disseminate information to students, e.g. study skills, presentations, websites, university deadlinesLiaise with the tertiary sector, relevant faculties and administrative units of the University as requiredAssist students with entry requirements and/or applications into alternate pathways e.g. other College or University programs to aid retentionInform all Under 18 students on arrival of College policies and procedures in place for underage studentsLiaise with accommodation providers to maintain welfare and compliance with Under 18 rulesRequirements: Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Education system (essential)An empathetic and caring personalityAbility to develop good relationships with stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organisational, planning and interpersonal skillsAdaptable to the changing work environmentAdvanced skills in the use of computerised information systemsAbility to work flexible hoursValid State Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtainDirect knowledge or experience of the international education sector (desirable)Up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies and procedures relevant to international students (desirable)Kaplan International and the University of Adelaide Kaplan International (Australia and New Zealand), offers you the opportunity to work for one of the world's leading providers of lifelong education.
