In this role, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to support the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. You will provide professional counselling services, deliver preventative programs, and work collaboratively to ensure the wellbeing of the whole College community.Key Responsibilities:Casework with Students and Families: Provide counselling and support to students and their families, implementing intervention strategies to address academic, emotional, and social needs.Preventative Work: Develop and deliver programs focusing on emotional well-being, social skills, conflict resolution, and bullying prevention.Collaboration: Work with the College Leadership Team, teachers, and wellbeing coordinators to ensure the best outcomes for students.Spiritual Support: Support and integrate the Catholic ethos of the school into all areas of pastoral care.Professional Development: Contribute to staff professional development and provide support to teaching staff regarding students' mental health needs.Additional Duties: Participate in the life of the College through extracurricular activities, camps, and retreats, and contribute to policy and curriculum planning in the area of Pastoral Care.Key Requirements:Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.Experience: Previous experience in a counselling role, ideally within a school setting.Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
