• The Collections Support Librarian supports the library's collection management. The position is an integral member of the Collections Team delivering high quality support and services for judicial officers and lawyers in Victoria.

About the Role The Collections Support Librarian reports to the Manager Collections and Reader Experience.The Collections Support Librarian is responsible for a variety of library related administrative tasks, which include managing and maintaining the Law Library's collections, particularly the collection located at the Supreme Court of Victoria, both online and hard copy, as well as with local and regional court collections.Maintain all items in the library collection in correct, tidy, and accurate orderCollection management, including the daily reshelving of items, shelf reading, collections movement and rearrangement, weeding and auditing of the collectionsDeliver items to Judges and other staff, both onsite at the Supreme Court Victoria, and to other courtsGeneral administrative duties, e.g. scanning/photocopying, ordering of photocopy paper, mail pick-ups and deliveries, unpacking of items, library loose-leaf filing etc.Assist the judiciary, court staff, legal profession, librarians, and the public, with library collection queriesTake part in rostered morning and late shifts (6pm close), which includes opening and locking up the libraryTake weekly rostered Reference Desk shifts assisting clients with (primarily directional) questionsAssist with events in the library, which includes set up and take down, moving/stacking chairs and furniture, and liaising with the Facilities teamWork closely with the Collections Librarian, assisting with hard copy and online subscription issues, errors, renewals, and the evaluation of existing and potential future resourcesLiaise with external suppliers, following up with supplier errors, chase up missing items.Actively contribute to library team meetings, trainings, seminars.Contribute to the fortnightly compilation of the Library BulletinAbout You Eligibility for (professional) membership of ALIA desirable.Knowledge of SrisiDynix back and front ends desirable.How to apply Click the 'Apply Now' including:
