We are currently looking for a highly motivated professional to join the National Shared Services Centre to join the collections team as a Collections Officer located at our head office in Parramatta, NSW to provide support to our Western Australia business partners.
To support the WA business, the hours for this role will vary throughout the year due to daylight savings and will be as follows: 11.30 am – 7.30 pm (from October 2024 to April 6 2025) 10.30 am – 6.30 pm (from April to October) This role is instrumental in performing the day-to-day tasks of account management and collections within the centralised credit function which is a part of the National Shared Services Centre.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday permanent role.
In your new role, you will be: Handling a high volume of collection calls to assigned customer base Negotiating the collection of outstanding balances which have fallen into arrears Proactively identifying and escalating risks to the Collections Manager Monitoring and reporting in real time of payment deterioration Ensuring all customer accounts have a valid credit application on file Ensuring customer credit claims are recorded and managed through to conclusion Managing customer orders within assigned credit limits Generating, reviewing, and distributing various reports Flexible in your approach with workdays and working hours Collaborative with the Sales Function to resolve matters that may delay payment Utilising a diary system to ensure strict follow-up with internal and external customers Assisting the Collections Manager as required This role is a great fit for you, if you have: A minimum 1-3 years' experience in a collections/recovery role Experience in managing a high value and volume customer portfolio Strong and effective time and diary management skills and experience Ability to deliver remarkable customer service and exceptional recovery results A high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations Experience using SAP in previous employment What we offer: At Hanson Australia, we understand that your well-being and professional growth are essential.
