Due to continued growth of our business, we have an exciting new opportunity for an Early Arrears Collections Officer.
Responsibilities
• Manage an arrears queue of work through outbound and inbound calls from customers and/ or business partners.
• Responding to written correspondence received from customers and/or our business partners.
• Identifying risk and ensuring matters are escalated promptly to help mitigate losses, complaints or poor customer/ business outcomes.
• Negotiate payment plans utilising active listening and negotiations skills, while also delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Keep clear, concise, and accurate customer records in the designated systems.
• Ensure all actions meet regulatory requirements governed by the NCCP, Privacy Act, RG 165 and internal processes and procedures.
• Taking ownership of complex matters and participating in change implementation activities
• Contribute to the success of the wider Retail Operations team, by supporting other areas from time to time.
Your background
• Demonstrable knowledge of, or interest in, Financial Services/ Automotive Finance industry.
• Relevant customer service, collections and/ or credit experience, in a fast-paced responsible lending environment.
• Sound understanding of the Debt Collections Guidelines would be highly valued.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation capabilities.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and or explain complex processes.
