Collections Officer - Accounts Receivable
Our finance team is the backbone of RDO Equipment, supporting customers in Agriculture, Forestry, Construction, and Turf. We're seeking a Collections Officer to join our team in Toowoomba and work out of our state-of-the-art office. The Role:
As a
Collections Officer,
your primary focus will be reducing our outstanding ledger. You'll be responsible for contacting customers, managing payment plans, and providing updates to our Accounts Receivable Supervisor. You'll easily handle challenging conversations and maintain a firm but fair approach to customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively contact customers to collect outstanding payments.
Manage payment plans and follow up on collections efforts.
Provide regular updates to management on collection progress.
Collaborate with the internal legal team for unresolved accounts.
Ensure timely end-of-month processing and reporting.
Other ad-hoc duties as required.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
3-5 years' experience in collections, with a strong understanding of receivables.
A proven ability to handle difficult customer conversations with confidence and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
A positive, can-do attitude with the resilience to tackle challenges head-on.
