Role ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day operations of the Image Services TeamDevelop and implement streamlined workflows and proceduresCoordinate and monitor the copyright and licensing activities relating to imagesRole DetailsThe role develops and monitors streamlined workflows across digitisation, copyright, photography and wholesale logistic functions. Provide advice to the development and implementation of digitisation strategy including consulting with curators, senior management, and the marketing and image services teams, to enable more of AGSA's collection to be accessed and experienced online.
Coordinate the ongoing digitisation of AGSA's collection and the development of digital experiences of the Gallery's collection online including project managing and providing advice and assistance to team members. Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Image Services team, including ensuring that the team photographs, colour corrects, seeks appropriate copyright permission, and publishes images on the online collection, and more widely in accordance with policy and guidelines.
Coordinate and monitor the team's copyright and licensing activities including the negotiation of licenses for non-Gallery works of art and other material through lending institutions. Plan and coordinate the delivery of the Gallery's photography and image sales functions to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services and support.
Plan, undertake and report on digitisation projects including coordinating the implementation of digital asset management tools and working closely with the software developers, and the IT, Marketing, Curatorial, Registration and Image Services teams. Develop and implement streamlined workflows and procedures to ensure the secure and efficient access, storage and usage of digital images, ensuring image file management remains compliant with AGSA specifications and workflows.
Coordinate, administer and maintain records and information systems including providing user access to systems and responsive training and support, as required.
