We have an amazing new opportunity in the Provider Proposition and Payment Integrity team, reporting into the Hospital and Medical Audit Manager.
A key element of this role will be to lead and execute comprehensive onsite DRG audits across various sites and locations, ensuring compliance with Australian Coding Standards and other industry guidelines.

Some of your key responsibilities will include: Execute audits, assist in the development of the audit program, and assess risk controls and audit report writing.Lead Medibank staff in understanding key issues of clinical coding/DRG and other contracting issues and their impact on business outcomes and effectiveness.Guide Providers to resolve clinical coding / DRG and other claiming disparities.Provide support to team members in meeting the priorities within Payment Integrity.About you: You will have a Bachelor's qualification in Health Information Management and professional certification in Clinical Coding Auditing.
This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, exceptional report-writing abilities, and strong organisational capabilities to manage travel and expenses efficiently.
You are highly organised and have a strong attention to detail. Multi-tasking and time management skills come as second nature to you.
Now, let's talk technical skills - you will have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of auditing standards and procedures, providing accurate advice on relevant clinical coding / DRG assignment.
You are proficient with Excel and the Microsoft Suite of products.
While not mandatory, knowledge and understanding of the private health insurance sector will be highly regarded.
