The Opportunity Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time Global P&C Service & Experience Payroll Administrator based in our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Global P&C Service & Experience Payroll Administrator will be responsible for high-quality administration and processing of Australia Payroll, supporting ongoing payroll improvements, and ensuring efficient and effective payroll operations.
Responsibilities include: Respond to Workday Help cases and provide self-service solutions to employees and managers. Coordinate payroll preparation and work with external payroll providers to ensure accurate biweekly payments. Manage payroll data entry and validation, including benefit payments, deductions, and one-time payments. Collaborate with People & Culture teams on cyclical processes and programs across business groups. Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives for payroll processes. Maintain team process documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures. What makes this opportunity unique? About You As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential 4+ years' experience working in a shared service environment, payroll coordination for relevant countries or systems role. Ability to deliver a high level of customer service – timely, accurate and professional. Ability to interpret policies, processes, and work instruction documentation. Proficiency in navigating and maintaining data in systems such as an HCM, CRM or case management system, ideally Workday and ADP. Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products especially Excel. Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when working with data. Demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Ability to work autonomously but use good judgment to escalate matters and work with other stakeholders to resolve queries where appropriate. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other stakeholders in a broader region and global surrounding.
