Coal Technician - Casual

Job Description
SGS is looking for a Coal Technician on a casual basis, to perform timely and quality sampling, preparation, and analysis of samples for internal and external customers.

After full training, you will be responsible, but not limited to:
Assist with the preventative maintenance of all preparation and laboratory equipment.
Ensure accuracy, precision, and traceability of prepared samples.
Assist with the calibration of all preparation and laboratory equipment.
Follow routine and non-routine sampling instructions.
Opportunity to obtain nationally recognized qualification if desired.
Qualifications
SGS will provide you with full training as required and on-the-job learning, but as the successful candidate, you will also have:
Previous experience in a fast-paced, physically active industrial environment.
Willingness to learn new tasks.
Good attention to detail.
Reliability with a strong customer focus.
Previous coal sampling and testing experience would be an advantage.
Some computer skills in Excel would be beneficial.
A valid driver's license and reliable transport are essential.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work shifts and meet tight deadlines.
