The Position Opportunities exist for Coal Quality Testers, to fill roles within our team based at Newcastle.
These roles will include duties within the Analytical Laboratory.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, responsibilites will include but are not limited to: Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions Ensuring that all work complies with national and international standards Checking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances Transfer validated results into the reporting system Maintain the laboratory and its equipment according to company standards, including calibrations A range of analysis including Proximate analysis, Calorific Value, Total Sulfur, Crucible Swelling Number, CHN, Gray King Coke Type, Gieseler, Dilatometer, RD, XRF, IC, ICPMS and others Requirements: Full training will be provided, however, to be considered for this position, you will have: A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork Good grasp of computers/technology Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems A valid drivers' licence is required Previous coal analysis experience or instrumentation experience (XRF, ICPMS) would be seen as an advantage Willingness to work rotating day, afternoon or night shifts will be a requirement Ongoing drug and alcohol testing will be a requirement As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam is required, including a drug and alcohol assessment.
