04th December, 2024About the Role ALS Coal currently has opportunities available for Casual Coal Preparation Samplers and Testers in our Physical Laboratory Testing (PTL) based at our site in Mayfield, NSW. The position will require some weekend work as well as shift work (day, afternoon, night). If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you.
Position Synopsis: Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe & efficient manner.Handling coal samples and processing them according to instructions & current best methods.Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams.A range of physical tests including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing, and sample storage.Transfer validated results into the reporting system.Requirements: A valid driver's license.A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.Strong numeracy and literacy skills.Ability to organise work, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.Ability to work independently without constant supervision in a dynamic environment.Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting.Competent within a strong safety culture.Previous coal sampling experience would be an advantage but not essential.Flexible and able to perform shift work and weekend work as required.NOTE: Full training will be provided to successful applicants.
